Our products

360FishSweep

The patented 360FishSweep fish handling equipment has been developed in collaboration with SalMar Farming and Lerøy Aurora to extract cleaner fish and wrasse in a highly efficient, predictable and gentle way. In less than a year, our system has removed more than 1 million lumpfish and many thousands of salmon that have suffered from disease or injuries.

We say 360FishSweep is the world’s most efficient fish handling equipment. With a very high depletion rate, minimal wear and tear on the crew and efficient operations, we are confident in this claim.

There are over 70 sites in Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Scotland actively using 360FishSweep. Feel free to contact us for references from customers who have become well acquainted with the system and actively use it.

Dip net for lifting fish with water support

The VØA ring

The VØA Ring™ is a completly new fish handler tool that we believe most fish handlers will will find highly valuable — both during regular rounds and when facing moderate biological challenges in the pen that require efficient removal of fish in a highly ergonomic and escape-proof manner.

The VØA ring™ is a floating collection net that fish handlers drag around the pen during removal of cleaner fish and wrasse. It can easily be secured to the handrail if you wish to work stationary, or used in Steady mode if you want to remove floating fish from the center of the pen. The VØA ring™ can hold 200-300 kg of fish and can easily be lifted onto a work boat with a crane for emptying into a tank for anesthetics by opening the bag knot at the bottom. This eliminates the need to walk back and forth with fish to empty the hand net – resulting in more efficient use of time and it is very ergonomic for the fish handler. The risk of dripping is reduced as the fish are not lifted out of the pen with a hand net. The VØA ring™ makes it possible to complete ring rounds and removal of cleaner fish and wrasse without the work boat needing to be at the pen because it weighs only 11 kg and can be easily lifted by one person. This provides greater flexibility at the site.

The VØA ring™ is also available with a dip net. A dedicated sorting net is under development and will be available during the fall. It is very lightweight and ergonomically designed to streamline the process of fish selection in combination with the VØA ring™

Development projects

LiceSweep – next-generation lice prevention

With support from Innovation Norway, the company has initiated research projects to develop a new preventive method for lice infestation. The project is called LiceSweep and is based on filtering out lice larvae in the surface of the pen along the net wall. Here, in the eel zone, feed residues, garbage, seaweed and kelp accumulate, but also a diversity of planktonic organisms – including nauplii and copepodites.

LiceSweep™ is patented and in the fall of 2023 the system will undergo a biological verification run over 4 months in collaboration with Salaks AS in Sør-Troms.

The project aims to uncover the amount of filtered lice (DNA analysis, NINA), how lice levels in the test pen are affected compared to reference pens and how light attraction to zoo-plankton can help remove as many free-swimming organisms as possible in the pen.

Secondarily, the project will assess growth/appetite and fish health, as well as environmental parameters as a result of cleaner water in the pen. The system will also be able to remove poisonous jellyfish such as the Apolemia uvaria and similar species.
