The patented 360FishSweep\u2122\u00a0fish handling equipment has been developed in collaboration with SalMar Farming and Ler\u00f8y Aurora to extract cleaner fish and sick or wounded fish in a highly efficient, predictable and gentle way. In less than a year, our system has removed more than 1 million lumpfish and many thousands of salmon that have suffered from disease or injuries.<\/p>\n

The V\u00d8A ring\u2122<\/h3><\/div>

The V\u00d8A Ring\u2122 is a completely new fish handler tool that we believe most aqua technicians will find highly valuable \u2014 both during daily normal operations and when facing moderate biological challenges in the pen. The equipment is a temporary collection net which makes removal of fish more ergonomic, efficient and escape-proof.<\/p>\n

LiceSweep\u2122<\/h3><\/div>

LiceSweep\u2122 is a system for diluting lice larvae and other organisms\/foreign elements in cages that reduce water quality and the living environment for salmon. We are seeking collaborators to strengthen the data foundation for this method and is therefore offering this system at a favorable price in 2024 to participants who wish to contribute.<\/p>\n

The BioNet\u2122<\/h3><\/div>

The BioNet\u2122 is a hand net with filter fabric (350 microns) for filtering out particles and other organisms\/foreign elements from the water in the pen – also chain jelly fish. The BioNet\u2122 has a telescopic handle with a length of 90-225 cm and an opening of 67 x 53 cm. A simple, but effective tool.<\/p>\n

LiceSweep\u2122 \u2013 next-generation lice prevention<\/h3><\/div>

With support from Innovation Norway, the company has initiated research projects to develop a new preventive method for lice infestation. The project is called LiceSweep\u2122\u00a0and is based on filtering out lice larvae in the surface of the pen along the net wall.<\/p>\n

V\u00f8atec AS is a startup company for the aquaculture industry and was established in 2020 with the aim of developing new and improved solutions, particularly concerning pen environment, biology, and fish handling. We believe that research projects and innovation are necessary for the industry to continue with open-pen farming.<\/p>\n

Based in Finnsnes, Troms, in Norway, the company manufactures most of its products locally and has customers all along the Norwegian coast.<\/p>\n

Sustainability, fish health and safe work operations are important values for the company.<\/p>\n
